Privacy
What we hold, and what we don't.
- 01We never ask for your name.
- 02We keep your mobile number so the report can reach you, and nothing else that identifies you.
- 03Your answers about androgen use, sexual history and erectile function are never shown in any report you share with a partner or clinic.
- 04We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising on it.
- 05Reply DELETE on WhatsApp and your entire record is removed within seven days.
01Who we are
His Own is a men's health assessment and protocol service operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered in India at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. In the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the information described here. You are the Data Principal.
If anything below is unclear, that is our failure rather than yours. Write to us and we will explain it in plainer terms.
02What we collect
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Assessment answers — nineteen questions covering age, history, lifestyle, symptoms, and previous test results | As you complete the assessment | To score seven biological domains and decide which tests, if any, are worth recommending |
| Mobile number | At the end of the assessment, if you choose to receive your report | To deliver the report and flag anything that needs a doctor rather than a protocol |
| Email address — optional | Same point, only if you enter one | An alternative delivery route |
| Laboratory results | Only if you book a panel | To build and adjust your protocol, and to compare against your re-test |
| Technical data — device type, approximate region, referring page | Automatically | To keep the service working |
03What we deliberately do not collect
- Your name.
- Your address, date of birth, or any government identifier — no PAN, no Aadhaar.
- Payment card details. If you buy a panel, payment is handled by our payment processor and the card never reaches us.
- Your partner's information.
An honest note on anonymity. Because we hold a mobile number, your record is not anonymous, and we will not claim otherwise. Not asking your name genuinely reduces how identifiable you are — but a number can still be traced back to a person, and you should decide with that in mind.
04Sensitive answers
Some questions concern androgen or steroid use, sexually transmitted infections, and erectile function. Under the DPDP Act these are personal data concerning health, and we treat them with additional care:
- Used only to decide which test to recommend and how to read your result.
- Excluded from any version of your report generated for sharing with a partner, clinic or insurer.
- Never used for marketing or advertising targeting.
- Choosing "prefer not to say" is recorded as a reason to run a test, not to skip one.
05The legal basis
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box at the end of the assessment. That consent is specific to the purposes in section 02, and you may withdraw it at any time.
06Who else sees it
| Who | What they receive |
|---|---|
| Google (Workspace) | Assessment records are stored in Google Sheets and Drive on our account. Google acts as a processor. |
| Partner laboratory — [LAB NAME] | Your mobile number and the tests ordered. Not your assessment answers. |
| Consulting clinician | If a teleconsultation is needed, your results and relevant history. Bound by medical confidentiality. |
| WhatsApp / messaging provider | Your number, to deliver messages. |
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, insurers or employers.
07Where it is kept, and for how long
- Stored on Google Workspace infrastructure. Some may be processed on servers outside India.
- If you never book a panel: your assessment record is kept for 24 months, then deleted.
- If you book a panel: results and protocol history are kept for five years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Anonymous, aggregated statistics may be retained indefinitely. These cannot be traced back to you.
08Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent, nomination, and grievance redressal.
09How to delete your record
- Reply DELETE to any WhatsApp message from us.
- Email [PRIVACY EMAIL] from the address you gave us, or write from your registered number.
We remove the record within seven working days and confirm when it is done. We do not ask you why.
10Security
- Access restricted to named team members who need it.
- Accounts holding this data use two-factor authentication.
- Data encrypted in transit, and at rest by our storage provider.
- If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we notify you and the Data Protection Board as required.
11Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. The assessment ends early for anyone who indicates they are under 21.
12Cookies
We use only what is needed to make the site work and to count page visits in aggregate. No advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party trackers on the assessment.
13Changes
If we change how we use your data in any material way, we tell you directly — not by quietly editing this page.
14Contact and grievances
| Purpose | Contact |
|---|---|
| General privacy questions | [PRIVACY EMAIL] |
| Grievance Officer (required under the DPDP Act) | [OFFICER NAME] [OFFICER EMAIL] [POSTAL ADDRESS] |
| Escalation | Data Protection Board of India, if we have not resolved your complaint |
We aim to respond to any privacy request within seven working days, and to resolve grievances within thirty days.
This is a working draft, not legal advice. Every [BRACKETED] field must be filled in, and the whole document should be reviewed by an Indian lawyer familiar with the DPDP Act before you accept a single submission. A named Grievance Officer is mandatory. The retention periods are reasonable defaults, not settled law.
His Own is an assessment and protocol service. It addresses sperm parameters and correctable contributing factors. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a substitute for medical care, and it is not a guarantee of conception. Prescription medicines are provided only through a licensed clinician following consultation.
